I think that Martha should be saved because she's the best boss I've ever had. I worked for Martha until recently, and I have to say that my five years at MSLO were the best years in my profession. She's tough, but she's a complete inspiration.

I think that Martha should be saved because...I LOVE TO WATCH HER MAKE DIFFERENT THINGS. I REALLY LIKE TO MEET MARTHA. SHE IS MY FAVORITE COOK NEXT TO EMERIL. I LIKE WHEN SHE HAS ONE OF THE SESAME STREET CHARACTERS ON THERE. MY SON LIKES IT WHEN SHE HAS THEM ON THERE. I CAN LEARN ALOT FROM WATCHING MARTHA. SO PLEASE DON'T TAKE HER OFF THE AIR. I WILL BE LOST WITHOUT HER.SOMEDAY I WILL TEACH MY SON HOW TO COOK. AND SOMEDAY HE WILL ASK ME HOW I LEARNED THEN I WILL TELL HIM I LEARNED FROM WATCHING MARTHA. SINCERELY MARTH STEWART'S FAN ; BRIDGET PEDONE
I think that Martha should be saved because she has worked hard to establish her business. Because she works hard and knows what she needs to do to get things rolling a lot of people are jealous of her.

I think that Martha should be saved because...she is being targeted because she is an extremely successful female. She has dared to mix her success in the "feminine" arena of "the home" with being a hard nosed businesswoman, who not only mingles with other ultra wealthy people, but is intimate with their business practices, the stock market, etc. People (especially men, I think) have a hard time with these supposedly incompatible aspects of Martha--as if since she's a cooking expert, she should stay in the kitchen/tend to her knitting...If she were a man, nobody would be particularly shocked at her use of her personal connections.
Also, as an example of the media's targeting of Martha Stewart, her "good friend", Conan O'Brien, who just a few months ago appeared on her show, and she on his, is now constantingly slamming her on his show--what loyalty

I think that Martha should be saved because...she is being targeted and made an example of simply by the fact that she is a woman. Martha Stewart is a pillar of todays society, a shining light for all women. There is so much to be learned from her, for there is nothing she cannot do. She has brought a sense of great style to our lives, even those in Congress, if they would just admit it. Martha should be shown nothing but repect for all the hard work she has done, because after all, we all have benefited from what she has accomplished. Martha Stewart is to be admired for all that she has done not condemned.

I think that Martha should be saved because...she has not done anything that anyone else in her position has not done including our current President.

I think that Martha should be saved because...She has done nothing wrong that no other human being in her position wouldnt have done. And to put her picture on the news next to Osuma bin Laden..that is just plain PITIFUL! He killed thousands...Supposedly Martha only saved millions...IF SHE DID IT! I watch her show faithfully and have gotten many great recipes, idea and tips. SHE IS TRULY the queen of homemaking! I will PROUDLY wear her tshirt along with the tshirts and jackets I am purchasing for my kids! LOL..my family jokes about my obessession with Martha Stewart..but I simply laugh and say..I KNOW QUALITY! Thank YOU
Lisa
I think that Martha should be saved because... I don't understand why it's such a crime to be rich, beautiful and talented. It seems the press is quick to assume guilt. Perhaps it's because she's the queen of homemaking. She does everything around the home so well. So what!! We all want to be like her.

I think that Martha should be saved because...in these times of moral decay, impending war, and economic uncertainty, we are all sorely in need of a beautiful blonde housewife from Westport to keep our minds occupied by complementing a really good gazpacho soup, leeks vinaigrette with shrimp, marinated zucchini, and orange mousse with a nicely-chilled Cotes du Rhone Rouge '59.
Who else can show us how to properly caulk our chicken coups for the harshness of the winter months?
Katie Brown? Rebecca Kolls? I don't think so!
Who else would employ all those deserving Barnard grads in fine arts? Martha is a juggernaut who should never be trifled with.
Case closed.

I think that Martha should be saved because...she is the only REAL WOMAN that other women and teenage girls have to look up to for knowledge, incouragement and leadership. She takes the hum drum out of a housewife's life with her wonderful ideas. Martha is what all women should aspire to be, generous, kind, creative, imaginative and loving!

I think that Martha should be saved because... (1) she really did no wrong if her broker told her to sell; (2) MSLO is a very good company with a bright future even after all of this silly govenmental/media frenzy; (3) the upcoming "Martha Movie" will need the true life happy ending where Martha Stewart and Edd Townsend become happily married and fly off into the sunset in that Cessna "SaveMartha.com" airplane.
Thanks for the opportunity to let met voice my thoughts.
Sincerely,
Dr. Brian Burleson
I think that Martha should be saved because...
I think she is pretty cool, I love all her shows,
I hope everything works out for her in the end, I believe everything happens for a reason.
Because of her shows it gives us ideas on how to improve our life styles, it may not all be like the way martha lives, but life always seem a little more simple if you are organized, as martha always indicated in her tv shows, I have learned a few tricks and better, more easier ways go through my day.

I think that Martha should be saved because...even if I never do a project, cook a recipe or organize athing in my house--there is something reassuring in the fact that Martha gathers alll that information and keeps our homemaking traditions alive. She never underestimates the intelligence of her viewers or her buyers. What she "sells" has intrinsic merit and value. She has varied interests--maybe her lifestyle is a bit over- the-top but I'd rather watch Martha than Anna Nichole Smith!...I truly admire Martha for taking the mundane of life such as how to iron a shirt, how to hem men's slacks and how to make a headband and giving those who do them a platform of dignity and accomplishment. I'm still amazed of the grown up field trips that we've taken with Martha--the visit to Pantone sticks in my memory as something I deal with often but never knew the origins of. Martha is Martha--even her out take show didn't show a plaster saint--she got a raw deal because of jealousy. We need to save Martha because she has saved so much for us, in our traditions, and history. She as saved us by recognizing our need for and showing her respect for our curiosity. She saved retail sales from the tawdry. We need to save Martha because she is a compendium of ideas, interests, and traditions that many of us overlook.

I think that Martha should be saved because..shes an animal lover Be kind to animals.

I think that Martha should be saved because......she is the conduit from the legacy of yesterday to the promise of tomorrow.

I think that Martha should be saved because...relative to the real culprits (eg. CEO of World Com etc) of Wall Street Martha has done nothing except what all stock holders are suppose to do, ie. sell before the stock plummets. In addition, she is a model of a successful American women and that may be what is why she is a focal point of a witch hunt and serving also as a red herring.
